Slacker...

There are a couple more meaningful things I've wanted to discuss lately, but I just got this*, and I'm all atwitter. I spent this morning shopping for these laptop bags, because I'm commercial like that. But I know many of you come to me for the fun and frivolity, so let's make a little game. Can you pick out which of these bags made me want to vomit?
Number 1
Number 2
Number 3
Number 4
Number 5

Now, you may know which one I hated - which one do I like best?

And do you have any more suggestions, because I relish any additional excuse to shop online.

*Lest you think I'm spoiled and not deserving, remember how I popped out a baby last May? Well, it turns out we forgot to claim the extra dependent on Jim's W4, so we've been paying the bills in Iraq by mistake for the last 10 months. Gist is some cash is coming back!

I vote for #2 as Vomitacious and #3 as Favorite.

Now that you've got this extra cash coming back, you can really enjoy your online shopping!

I recommend bedding from Land's End. I just bought some and I love it.

Wow, #2 -- wow.

I like #1 best, although the description is irritating. #5 is dorkalicious. They should market that as something for women to buy their guys if they're worried about other women hitting on them.

I got a Casauri bag, at deep discount. Cute, but the velcro on the securing straps died a premature death.

Who said you weren't deserving?

(You do gotta download Firefox, though.)
(You be quiet, Orange.)

I have the Crumpler - the names and descriptions are annoying, but the bag is very cool.

#2 is horrid...

#2 all the way! All the way to the trash can that is.

#4 was alright, if it didn't have the camouflage.

#1 is my favorite. Who names these things though?

#2 is heinous and I'll vote for #1 as your favorite. Was going to pick the backpack one, but then I remembered you probably have to haul Quinn around on a backpack sling so the messenger bag seemed more practical.

You're not going to get all Mac snooty on us now are you?

NUMBER TWO! It's *gorgeous*...if yer wearin' Beer Goggles.

I like number one...and number three is quite sleek and professional looking. I think you like number one.

It wasn't much of a game was it? I just wanted an excuse to show you The Ugliness, Incarnate.

Now when I first found all these I WAS into #1 the most, but then I realized there was another color for #4 and I'm torn. I also feel like I need to look a little more grown-up and #3 might just do the trick.

So... still looking (oh, and Arabella - I loved the Land's End stuff!)

Why oh why would anyone think a laptop bag with cursive embroidery and floral patches would seem professional? Scary.

I guessed you'd like #1 best, looks like that was originally the case but you may have reconsidered. I actually think the design of that one is simple and streamlined enough to look professional. I see what you're saying about #3, but it looks like it might be heavy... maybe just me.

I need to get me a new laptop case before I drag mine to BlogHer. Thanks for giving me some places to look. ;-)

Funny, I guess all us blog-readers have the same taste as you. Or we're just hip and that first bag is hip. The only thing I have against the Paris backpack is the name... oh and an ongoing reluctance to look that grownup.

Who said you're spoiled and undeserving? Point me in their direction and I will pop them in the face.

The nerve....

Not reading any other comments before I guess. I was asleep when you posted this so it's actually not very fair.
Business Class bad.
Paris Backpack good.
Was I right? Was I right?
Go for Paris, tres chic.

I just want you to know that I am seriously coveting your new laptop. Seriously. Heart-attackly seriously. I am happy that you have it - justly deserved - but don't come near me. That is a fine machine.

Hi Daphne - welcome! PD, nope, not that grown up yet. Today I nearly had to cart the new baby (laptop) to the coffee shop in a plastic grocery bag. Then I zipped the backpack off the baby backpack and took it instead. Low moment for a bag whore like me.

LB, sorry. I won't gloat and will only mention it occasionally, but you have to know ever word you read here was caressed lovingly from the brushed steel-looking keyboard...

Dawn, you know I got your back when you wanna meet up with the soon-to-be ex-supervisor of yours in a dark alley.

obviously number 2 is revolting. i liked no. 1 and assume that you, who are very like me on so many levels, also picked no. 1.

yes, yes... number 1 was the original fave, but after spending another hour looking last night I'm all over the place... step into the light Carol-Anne...

I don't know. No. 2 is kind of endearing. Like those ugly dogs that are so ugly they are cute--like pugs. I am a big fan of the pug. I also think no.2 would work if you bought it for the ironic fashion statement.

Interesting idea Jaye. But for $400, I think I'd rather hire someone to just carry my computer around. And fetch coffee when I rang a bell.

My guess is you hate number 2...but as far as which you love, I don't know...maybe the red one?
