Tagged! By the everclever MooAlex for this Four Things Me!Me! I was excited to do it, but have revealed my true identity as Boring, Not-Been-Anywhere Girl. This exercise reminds me of MASH (remember? Mansion, Apartment, Shack, House...). Except the four things in each category are blah. There was always supposed to be one exciting option. Like Scott Baio.

Four jobs I've had:

  • Weight room monitor
  • Environmental Engineer
  • nanny/cook/housekeeper
  • Berry picker

Four movies I can watch over and over:

  • Hoosiers
  • The Black Stallion
  • She's Having a Baby
  • The Sound of Music

Four places I've lived:

  • Goldendale, WA
  • New Haven, CT
  • Eugene, OR
  • Kalispell, MT

Four places I've been on vacation:

  • Fernie, BC
  • Jimenez Springs, NM
  • New Orleans
  • The Delles, WI

Four websites I visit daily:

  • CNN.com
  • GoFugYourself
  • Mine
  • PBS Kids (Not me - but Madeleine. Gives me 20 minutes to read the comics and editorials.)

Four of my favorite foods:

  • Cheeseburgers - must have giant beefsteak tomato slab on top
  • Cupcakes
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Truffles

Four places I'd rather be:

  • In the shower
  • On an airplane, with a book and an ipod full of Greg Brown, Madeleine Peyroux, and Johnny Cash
  • In a movie theatre
  • In a house with a big picture window and a fireplace on a bluff overlooking the Oregon Coast

Four bloggers I'm tagging:

  • The first four on my b-list
  • The last four on my b-list

Oh, I love The Black Stallion, books and movies. That Arabian that played The Black was such a gorgeous creature.

There just have to be some good stories in that weight room monitor job...

nancy, the horse is magnificent, but the filmmaking, directing and cinematography are incredible as well. The scene where Alec is putting the sugar cubes in the tiny window of the horses stall on the boat... the scene where Alec is running through town looking for his lost horse... when Mickey Rooney is teaching him to ride astride a hay bale. All awesome.

MamaT. Whoah. That's all I can say. Whoa.

teebs, meet me anywhere with a bottle of wine and we'd have a good ole' time, I'm sure!

Not boring at all! At least you haven't lived in the same state all of your life. Now THAT'S boring.

You can play MASH online at www.playmash.com. Info courtesy of that teenager who lives upstairs.

I already did this me-me, but since you tagged me, I'll do your food me-me instead. I didn't do it way back when because the whole diet thing was stressing me out, but now that I'm not supposed to argue with Hubby, I figure it's either chocolate or wine, and being "pleasantly plump" is probably better than becoming an alcoholic.

Where's the rest of your 100 list, anyway????

You know I'm your partner in Fug.

I bet the berry picking job was fun for about the first hour or so. Did you get to bring home extra berries?

Hmm, *holds hands out on either side* brainlesseveryday or kathie, brainlesseveryday or kathie... I think I'll go with kathie! (I'm cracking up at the thought of you trying to decide which user name to go with!!)

No, I haven't heard of the painting, but I'm googling, googling, gooooooogggggllliingg. Nope. Nothing. Or I should say zero hits for "malcolm stevens" mignon (except for now I will at least get my own website, I guess).

No, Mrs.H. Every berry I picked was money in my pocket. And yes. After the first 10 minutes, which was how long it took to get my flat and my little halter thing and walk out to my designated row (raspberries! still my favorite!) it sucked. Except for occasionally finishing a row, turning a corner and catching a couple teenagers getting past 2nd base. Twice that happened.

GG - plump is fine. You know you're going to work your ass off come spring. And my 100! I was composing some of it last night and put myself to sleep. I wouldn't want to subject those of you at work to the same fate.

Hey Mignon,
I'll try to download the picture of the painting... ahhh, a closer look at the citation shows his name is Malcolm Stephens Parcell 1896-1987...oops sorry. try that.

Holy crap Mignon...that painting which I just googled hung in the University Club where we had our wedding reception...sold for $61,000 bucks...surely because of its association with the Jacobs/Shoop wedding...

You lived in Goldendale.

I have lived in Goldendale.

Why were you in Goldendale?

Who did this to you?

I think Truffles (either mushroom or chocolate) are just as exciting as Scott Baio.

Esereth. WHAT THE HELL?? I was there '80-'82. My step-dad was principal of Goldendale Middle School. Seeing as how the population never boomed with the success of Martin Marietta and the giant windmill, it's very likely we were next door neighbors. Was that your dog that got Scooter knocked up?

V. Me too. Joanie might argue, but she's had a few too many perms to be taken too seriously.
